The history of the company began in 1968, when Rzeszowskie Przedsiębiorstwo Instalacji Budownictwa was established to perform both electrical and sanitary works. After three years of activity, the previous organization was transformed into Rzeszowskie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Elektrycznych.

The new company covered the whole south-eastern region of Poland and focused on electrical installations for the building industry and the production of electrical equipment. Over the years, the company has made a good name for itself among customers in Poland, and later also abroad. Work in a reliable company, combined with professional development and opportunities to work abroad, have stabilized the crew.

In the period of seventies and eighties Elektromontaż Rzeszów SA conducted electrical installation works and was supplier of electrical equipment to foreign markets. The employees of the company worked on building sites in Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Libya, Iraq, Germany, Slovakia, Russia and Ukraine. While executing foreign contracts, the company cooperated with the largest Polish export companies.

In 1982, RPRE acquired the status of Elektromontaż, which confirmed the growing importance of the company, but also forced organisational changes, expansion and modernisation of production and improvement of its quality. However, the changes in the company did not end there. The end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s were marked by major ownership transformations throughout the Polish economy. Thousands of small construction and installation companies emerged, competing more and more effectively with the existing colossuses, and the investment market shrank.

In August 1991, the decision on privatisation was taken. The former state enterprise was transformed into joint stock company Elektromontaż Rzeszów SA with completely private capital. The shareholders became the employees of the company.

In order to adapt the company to the market requirements, since 1993 the quality assurance system compliant with international standard ISO 9001 has been implemented. In December 1996 Elektromontaż Rzeszów SA received the quality certificate for the first time.

Taking into consideration the nature of manufactured products and executed works, and in the sense of responsibility for the natural environment and harmonious coexistence with the environment, in April 1997 the process of implementation of the environmental management system according to ISO 14001 standard was started. The system was certified and in September 1998 Elektromontaż Rzeszów S.A. received the Environmental Management System Certificate according to ISO 14001 standard.

In the same year, the company began implementing a health and safety management system. The implementation work was completed successfully and in 2000 the company successfully passed the certification procedure, receiving the certificate of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System according to the PN-N 18001 standard.

Since 2000, the company has integrated all functioning systems and obtained the certificate of the Integrated Quality, Environment and Work Safety Management System with respect to the requirements of the PN-EN ISO 9001, PN-N 18001 and PN-EN ISO 14001 standards.

In the following years Elektromontaż Rzeszów SA started to create a capital group, which allowed to extend the scope and area of activity of the company. In 2001, the subsidiary in Przemyśl was created and in 2002 the subsidiary in Jasło. Developing the activity in the scope of execution of networks and overhead lines, in 2010 the company Eltor seated in Rzeszów was taken over.

In 2015, in line with the company's development policy, independent units implementing works in the field of low current installations and automatic control engineering (AKPiA) and BMS systems were separated.

In 2019, Regional Directorates have been created in place of the existing units known as construction teams.

Continuing the process of expanding the scope of the Group's activities, in 2019 RESBUILD was established to carry out construction works in the form of general contracting.
